Genre

Number of episodes

The Komsomolets submarine - its ultra-strong titanium body allowed it to dive to unprecedented depths of over 1000 meters. And the nuclear missiles on board could raze to the ground the entire American continent. The Komsomolets sank in April of 1989. To this day, there is no exact answer, as to why this tragedy occurred. The events leading to the tragedy are precisely reconstructed on the basis of KGB archive documents. Old submariners and ex-officers of the Navys Special Secret Services provide new versions of that tragedy. Featuring rare video tapes from the private archives of the surviving members of the Komsomolets crew.
