The TV version of the legendary production by Moscow's Lenkom Theatre.
It tells the true tragic story of a Russian count who falls in love with Conchita, the daughter of the Spanish governor of San Francisco, but they cannot be together because of religion and politics. Having lost her beloved, Conchita remains faithful to him until the end of her life.
Staged 45 years ago, it has toured the US and Europe and still sells out in Moscow. Beautiful music and brilliant acting make it a touching hymn to love and devotion.
