Its a place of silence and snow, fierce winds and bitter cold. A place where the ice is both beautiful and dangerous.
This is the Arctic edge of the Earth, where the soul meets the cosmos. These distant lands have been attracting brave and curious dreamers for hundreds of years. It is a place of great discoveries, where triumph and tragedy are never far apart. This is where the Northern Sea Route took shape and where the story of a nation was written in ice.
In The Way, past and present collide. Todays heroes the captains and crews of powerful nuclear icebreakers head out on their journeys just like those before them, not knowing what lies ahead or what challenges the long Arctic route may bring.
