In the autumn of 2014, the world-famous 42nd International Emmy® TV Awards Gala will take place in the US. This year, shows produced by Russia Television and Radio have been entered into competition in the News and Documentary and TV Movie/Mini-Series categories.

The Emmys are rightly considered the biggest and most prestigious event in the television industry worldwide.

Action thriller "Ash" is seeking nomination in the TV Movie/Mini-Series category. The analysts of Eurodata TV Worldwide have noted the series as the highest rated in Russia in 2013.

The Ultimate Arctic Resort, an experimental documentary delving into everyday extremes faced by Russian scientists and tourists in harsh Arctic conditions, has been entered in the News and Documentary competition category.
Information on the nominees in the documentary category will become available in mid-August; the nominees in the mini-series category will be announced on 13 October at MIPCOM 2014 in Cannes.
