PAVEL LUNGIN'S ISLAND SOLD TO SLOVAKIA AND SOUTH KOREA

Sovtelexport signed a sales agreement for broadcasting and digital rights for the feature film "The Island" with two TV-companies: RTVS, the Slovakias largest nationwide public broadcasting network, and CPBC, the Catholic radio and television network in South Korea.

Director Pavel Lungins poignant drama will be aired on the TV channel Dvojka, and will also be available to Slovakian audiences on the channels website.

Russian content is popular in Slovakia, and Sovtelexport has recently sold the broadcasting rights in this country for a bundle of documentary and feature films, as well as a line-up of costume dramas series. The line-up includes such significant shows as "Ekaterina" and "Anna Karenina".

In South Korea, "The Island" will be aired on the CPBC Catholic channel. This is Sovtelexports first deal with this company, and it marks the beginning of a partnership with one of the most important religious television and radio networks in South Korea.
