THE TRAGEDY OF "KOMSOMOLETS" SUBMARINE

The ‘Komsomolets’ submarine - its ultra-strong titanium body allowed it to dive to unprecedented depths of over 1000 meters. And the nuclear missiles on board could raze to the ground the entire American continent. The ‘Komsomolets’ sank in April of 1989. To this day, there is no exact answer, as to why this tragedy occurred. The events leading to the tragedy are precisely reconstructed on the basis of KGB archive documents. Old submariners and ex-officers of the Navy’s Special Secret Services provide new versions of that tragedy.
