Vladimir Khotinenko, a famous Russian film director, has started working on a screen adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevskys novel "Demons". He plans to make the 4-episode miniseries and the feature length film. "Demons" isnt the first directors address to the works of the great Russian novelist of the XIX century. The previous film - "Dostoevsky" - was a big success with TV viewers.

There is no surprise that TV Channel Russia has acted as a customer for both films.
Its screen adaptations of Russian classical novels are traditionally known to be of a high quality.

At the moment, Vladimir Khotinenko runs open casting calls for "Demons" at the Mosfilm studios. The main favorite for the role of Stavrogin is Russian new generation film star Danila Kozlovsky.
